The Impact You’ll Make

This position is a key leadership role in Lam Research Manufacturing Korea. Oversees all manufacturing related activities in LMK and engages global manufacturing activities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and develop manufacturing organization to execute manufacturing requirements in the most efficient manner at optimized cost
• Develop and maintain standards, processes and procedures across LMK and manufacturing function
• Operation 3 factories (Hwaseong, Yongin, Osan) and optimize factory utilization and capacity to support committed build plan
• Implement quality system and methodology in manufacturing function
• Develop and maintain manufacturing execution and escalation processes to meet OTD, quality, inventory management and all pertinent metrics
• Regularly evaluate performance benchmarks and drives organization to meet and exceed benchmark performance
• Supports and execute inventory burn down plans during slowdown(s)
• Participate in quarterly reviews and corporate meetings as required
• Interact and support other functions as necessary to achieve overall LMK business objectives in a credible and dedicated manners
• Manage the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and all capital expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Lead product transit from pilot/other volume mfg sites
• Communication and engagement with global manufacturing organizations
• Driving CIP for excellent quality control, IE, productivity and MFG cost
• Mentor and groom next generation of leaders within responsible functions

Who We’re Looking For

• BS in Business or an appropriate engineering major/backgrounds
• 10+ years relevant work experience in international or global corporations
• Experiences in project management
• Knowledge and experiences of lean manufacturing
• Global engagement and management experience
• Deep understanding of planning, procurement, operations and logistics
• Demonstrated successful cross-functional management and team building in a rapid growth/changing/fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of high performance; ability to drive and lead change
• Excellent interpersonal communication and people management skills
• Previous executive level operations management
• Willingness to travel
• Extensive and deep experiences with MRP in an SAP environment
• Continuous process improvement, customer service, preferably in high-tech industry
• English fluency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experiences in Semi-conductor industry
• Product transit experiences
• MBA or equivalent executive leadership experience
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix as well as high-volume, low-mix lean manufacturing methodology and practices

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
