The Impact You’ll Make

We are seeking an engineer with a strong interest in 3D modeling and simulation to perform quality assurance on our advanced plasma simulation and semiconductor fabrication modeling software. You will be embedded in a collaborative software development team that is following the Scrum agile development process. Through daily engagement with the developers, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver quality software that is used to solve some of the hardest problems in semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment. Your title and salary will be commensurate with your education and experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Validate the functionality and accuracy of our plasma and semiconductor fabrication modeling environment
  • Conduct exploratory testing by developing realistic use cases of semiconductor processing equipment chambers like RIE, PECVD etc.
  • Design test cases for automated functional, performance and UI regression test suites
  • Author technical reports summarizing software defects and enhancement requests
  • Participate in planning and design discussions with the software development team
  • Collaborate with software developers to isolate and resolve defects
  • Interact with the applications support team to define customer-centric test cases

Who We’re Looking For

  • MS/PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline with 0-2 years of experience.
  • B.S. or equivalent course work in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Understanding of plasma physics fundamentals.
  • Detail-oriented individual who enjoys systematically exploring engineering software
  • Proficiency with both Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Python or similar scripting language
  • Solid understanding of fundamental computer principles
  • Team oriented personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of plasma physics.
  • Proficiency with Python or similar scripting language
  • Experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience as a user or tester of 3D modeling or engineering software
  • Knowledge on semiconductor fabrication methods.
