Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, Develop and Manage a group of engineers working on Component engineering and CAD library process
  • Solve Component and CAD library critical technical issues and mentor the team in technical problem solving
  • Manage and monitor KPI’s/Metrics related to delivery of projects (Cycle time, productivity & quality)
  • Accountable for deliverables and facilitating the learnings from problem reports
  • Collaborate with cross functional design groups at LIGHT on requirements and problem solving at CAD library and Component Level
  • Drive Continues improvement projects to enhance process resulting in quality, productivity and cycle time improvement
  • Should be accountable for team and process development in component engineering organization
Other Job Responsibilities

Desirable Skills:

  • Should have excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Experience with documentation standards.
  • Experience with PLM, Library management and Various Industry standards such RoHS, REACH, UL, CE, CSA, IPC, SEMI etc.
  • Excellent organizational, data collection and presentation skills.
  • Excel macro skills would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and design environments
Minimum Qualification

Eligibility Criteria:

Years of Experience: 9-12 years

Educational qualification: BE/BTECH Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Qualification

Mandatory Skills required to performing the job:

  • Expert technical hands on experienced knowledge in Component Engineering and Component library management tools such as Zuken E3s, Cadence for Electrical/Mechanical CAD tools like Nx and Creo etc.
  • Good mix of preferred technical skills along with people management
  • Should be an excellent problem Solver, Analyzer, Conflict Manager, Decision maker and must have hands on experience in vast data analytic and handling skills.
  • Hands on experience working on tools like FMEA, 5Why, Fishbone, Pareto analysis etc
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision, Self-motivated, detail-oriented and passion for continuous improvements.
  • Results & execution driven consistently delivers on commitments & stretch goals.
  • 4+ years of people management role.
