Minimum Qualifications
-
- Preferably BE / B Tech/M tech degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with 13-15 years of experience
- Masters Preferred (Engineering Management, Supply Chain, MBA)
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience in Facilities Construction Project Management, or Project/Construction management
- At least 6+ years of people management experience
Job Responsibilities
- Initiating a Project:
- Developing a baseline Project Charter for an individual project. This would include defining the business requirements, project deliverables, need dates, stakeholder list.
- Develop project Risk Assessment.
- Design Services
- Develop a design scope of work and issue Request for Proposal to Design Services/Architect & Engineering firms.
- Consult job walks and bid clarifications.
- Prepare bid comparison, conduct bid clarifications, prepare recommendation.
- Prepare contract documentation for Procurement review.
- Managing Project Design
- Manage design services contractor.
- Conduct 30/60/90/IFC Design Reviews with Design firm and stakeholders.
- Manage any design change requests.
- Liaison with City/state government officials, if required.
- Financials & Cost Forecasting
- Work with Lam Project Owners to establish capital budgets.
- Develop high level design and construction schedule.
- Issue in SAP Capital Authorization Request for Project Owner approval
- Issue Purchase Request form in SAP for Project Owner Review
- Review Invoicing for Payments
- Monitor & update quarterly cash flows.
- Coordinate Project Construction
- Review GMP Submission with General Contractor
- Issue Purchase Request for General Contractor scope
- Address any third-party small contracts required to support work.
- Provide owner representative.
- Proactive Change Management: validate change orders including impacts to cost and schedule.
- Review monthly invoices for approval.
- Project Turnover & Close Out
- Assist with coordination of functional testing and commissioning.
- Manage punch-list to closure and owner’s handover.
- Coordinate project close out
Mandatory Skills
- 6-8 Years of managing a team or supervisory position of project managers.
- Solid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of Project Management
- Solid analytical and problem-solving and decision-making skills are fundamental to the success of facility project managers.
- Skills to identify issues and proactively respond to project issues.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to exchange information with senior management, service providers, workers and contractors.
- Understands all aspects and phases of the architectural, MEP design, and construction management process.
- Working knowledge of SAP for use with purchase requisitions and orders
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint capabilities
- Strong presentation skills – demonstrates presentation ability, influence, and effectiveness on complex content in front of peers.
- Awareness of EHS and regulatory knowledge to help make business decisions.
- Ability to respond to and resolve complex challenges under pressure.
- Exceptional root cause and corrective/preventive action development skills.

- Represent Lam while handling necessary permit approval queries from government authorities
- Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables
- Stakeholder management, within various global organizations of the company
- Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment
- External vendor management
- Working in a matrixed environment, especially with international stakeholders
