This role will work with each APAC country’s HR and Business teams to craft the best go-to-market hiring approach, ensure delivery of service from Global TA provider is delighting the customer, providing clear data and inputs to the Business, as well as understanding the Business growth strategy and supporting the translation of strategy into talent actions plans with an eye towards flawless implementation.


  • This role reports directly to the Global Head of Talent for Lam Research and will partner directly with members of the GHR Leadership Team, individual HR and Business Leader stakeholders, and external best class service providers.

Why this role?

Lam is looking for an experienced achievement-oriented Talent Director to lead Talent Acquisition and Talent Management activities in our APAC locations. You will have the opportunity to engage and partner with senior business leaders and HR Partners to assess current and future hiring needs, develop strategies to meet those needs and develop talent, build a diverse candidate pipeline for the future, and directly manage a Global Talent Acquisition provider for our various regional/country hiring needs.  Providing superior customer support, liaison between the Global provider and GHR, Business Leader needs, as a leader in our industry, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as we continue our strong growth. The successful candidate will:


  • Manage a Global Talent Acquisition APAC service provider, ensuring that each APAC country can attract and retain the talent necessary to achieve business growth goals.
  • Liaison between APAC TA RPO (Recruiting Process Outsourcing), the Global RPO, various agencies and external search firms and Country specific hiring plans while achieving strategic global workforce plans.
  • Be a thought leader in best in class, creative recruiting and sourcing strategies to consistently attract diverse, top talent that aligns with Lam’s core values.
  • Be the trusted partner and go-to source of talent information in APAC for HR partners and the Global Talent team
  • Ensure talent acquisition processes and procedures are designed, communicated, and consistently implemented across the region, in partnership with the RPO.
  • Create aggressive goals and measure performance to track and communicate recruiting effectiveness throughout the region. Partner with HRIS, internal Talent organization, and RPO for reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure a continuous diverse pipeline of top talent
  • Collaborate with the Global Talent and regional talent/learning and development needs to supply end-to-end talent management best practices.
  • Understand regional talent and learning and development needs, align needs to global learning/talent options, supply a voice from each APAC country into the design and implementation of talent programs.
  • Partner to deliver field service capability as well as partner with each business and region to deliver against growth goals which require detailed Talent strategies across the employee life cycle.
  • Provide alignment with local talent programs such as talent designations, succession planning, and mentoring.


  • Direct experience leading the implementation of implementing a Global RPO partnership across each country in APAC successfully from ideation to a mature RPO model.
  • 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition and talent management roles
  • 5+ years working in a Global company with matrixed resources
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience in the Semi Industry
  • Prior experience developing and leading strategic staffing initiatives
  • Experience designing, piloting, launching, evaluating, and improving leadership development programs
  • Semiconductor, high-tech, and/or lean manufacturing industry exposure a plus
  • Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office, Talent Management Systems, and applicant tracking systems. SuccessFactors experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources required; a master's degree is a plus
