Position: Group Manager, Center of Excellence (CoE)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational qualification: Masters/Bachelors in electrical or mechanical engineering; Post graduate degree preferred. MBA with BE degree also preferred.
  • Has previous experience of leading multi-discipline engineering organizations

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating, reviewing and maintaining Hardware CoE roadmap for Lam India in consultation with Product groups (PG) that are located in different global locations
  • Creates and maintains a skill set matrix and infrastructure/lab/tooling matrix required to meet CoE roadmap
  • Represent Lam India in Engineering leadership team (ELT) and other cross functional teams (CFT) relating to business processes, initiation and maturing of CoE’s
  • Ensures stakeholder alignment on all reporting metrics and service level agreements that the group is asked to generate and report
  • Ensures good communication and alignment with non-Engineering stakeholders including Product Management, Supplier quality, pilot and high volume manufacturing
  • Interface with Lam India Design Engineering and Engineering Process Functions for common resources/activities
  • Enhance each COE’s inherent value to Lam by upskilling competency and climbing up the value stream
  • Maintain and develop process checkpoints to ensure adherence to design standards and schedules. Work with leadership peers to drive process improvements as necessary

 Mandatory Skills required to performing the job:

  • Experience creating and managing CoE’s that caters needs of multiple business groups/functions
  • Experience working in company with global footprint that involves remote stakeholder management
  • Good mix of technical and business management acumen
  • Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data
  • Experience in scaling organization in pursuit of meeting long term objectives
  • Experience in situational leadership and motivating team in achieving business result

 Desirable Skills:

  • Exhibits reasonable technical competency in electro mechanical engineering domain
  • Past work experience in semi-conductor capital equipment industry
