Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.

In this role, you will directly contribute to Power Electronics based power distribution and control product design and development.

What You’ll Do

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop Functional Requirement Specifications for AC & DC Power Control/Distribution applications.
  • Design, Develop and Test Power Electronics Circuits for AC & DC Power Control/Distribution applications.
  • Selection of Electrical & Electronics OEM components and materials for PCBs & Power Control/Distribution assemblies.
  • Create and Release system level Electrical engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process.
  • Work on Electrical/Electronics engineering CAD tools for Circuit design & Simulations.
  • Perform various Circuit Analyses like De-rating & Stress analysis, Power / Thermal analysis & Logic compatibility analysis etc.
  • Study and recommend corrective/improvement solutions for technical challenges/new products.
  • Well versed with Part life cycle management, Obsolescence management activities.
  • Conduct and drive Design reviews to get buy-in from all cross functional teams.

Who We’re Looking For

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational qualification: Master’s in Power Electronics / Bachelor’s in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering with Core Power Electronics Design experience
  • Experience 5-10 years of experience in Power Electronics Design, Development & Testing.

Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:

  • Proficient in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical Sub-systems (Semi-conductor/Automotive/Aerospace), Power Distribution/Control systems and/or Industrial Automation.
  • Hands-on experience in Power Electronics (AC & DC Low/High Voltage) Circuit Designs for Power and Control applications, Transfer Function & Stability Analysis, Testing & Qualification.

(Ex: Power Circuit and Compensation design experience in Buck, Boost & Flyback Power Converters, PFC Circuits, Stability, Inductor/Transformer/MOSFET/IGBT/Thyristor based Circuit designs, Gate Drives, Input & Output Filter designs etc.)

  • Proficient in Electronic Circuit design, Simulation & various Circuit Analyses.

(Circuit analyses include De-rating & Stress analysis, Power analysis & Logic compatibility analysis etc)

  • Proficient in selecting Electronic and Power Electronics OEM components.
  • Must have worked on any one of electrical engineering CAD tools like PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, Cadence or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation. And has good knowledge on PCB design principles for Power Electronics.
  • Familiar with Safety standards like - UL 508, IEC 60947, SEMI S22, NFPA79, IEC/EN61000.
