The Group You’ll Be A Part Of

Many years ago, Lam Research embarked on a journey to set up a global center in Bangalore to expand its reach for Indian talent pool. Over the decade, this center expanded its capability and scope beyond engineering to global manufacturing, supply chain operations and other shared services. One of the major functional groups of this entity is LIGHT (Lam India Global Hardware Technology). In Hardware group, mechanical engineers, simulation analysts, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and engineering support functions work collaboratively to design, develop sub-assemblies and sub-systems for Lam’s next-generation products. LIGHT has completed more than a decade of growth and has emerged as a major new product development and sustaining engineering team for Lam’s global engineering footprint.

Preferred Qualifications:

You are:

• B.E. / B. Tech or M.E. / M. Tech. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 65%aggregate
• Graduating in 2025 without any backlogs

What You’ll Do:

• Design and development of multi-disciplinary complex sub-systems for high sensitive semiconductor processing equipment
• Analyze design through simulations and hand calculations.
• Validate design by defining test plans, making prototypes, developing test equipment, and performing testing.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams for review, approval and release.
• Participate actively in idea generation forums and contribute to innovative solutions.
• Understand Lam products, business processes and standards.
• Design Electronic and/or Electrical Circuits, Write the embedded code (if required), perform Circuit analysis, testing & validation etc.
• Provide sustaining engineering support
• Engineering design changes & documentations under general supervision of a Senior Engineer

Who We’re Looking For:

• Circuit theory knowledge
• Knowledge in basic Electrical & Electronics concepts
• Lab testing & measuring equipment knowledge
• Components selection knowledge
• Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
• Problem Solving Skills

Desirable Skills:

Proficient in use of MS Office Tools
Knowledge of any ECAD and Simulation tools

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
