The Impact You’ll Make

Oversees the planning and controls the flow of materials, products, services and related systems information from point of origin to point of delivery. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, or critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, third-party warehousing and shipping/receiving activities. Develops and implements logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs within budget constraints. Provides financial reporting and reconciliation of inventories. Exhibits thorough understanding of international Letters of Credit and other forms of banking documents and international shipments. Interacts with vendors and peers in Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Product Development personnel to optimize systems and procedures. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to quickly react to unforeseen events and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
  • Responsible for Freight cost reduction Program/Project management 
  • Responsible for carrier performance/OTD
  • Working experience on shipment consolidation & packing dimensional weight optimization projects
  • Report generation and analysis turning data into actionable insights (improving transportation provider selection, route optimization, identifying cost reduction opportunities, etc.)
  • Gain insight over carrier performance to evaluate trends and pursue advantageous alternatives.
  • Bring thought leadership and influencing skills to accomplish tasks across process and business functions, while working collaboratively with fast-paced global teams
  • Excellent communication at all levels in the organization
  • Team handling experience 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years working experience in any of the following areas: Global Logistics Project/Program mgt, Global Transportation & Trade operations in global environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operational research, supply chain, or related field. MBA or master’s preferred but not required.
  • Experience in managing international logistics in all modes of transportation (especially AIR Freight)
  • Experience in working with SAP & TMS tools (Transportation Management System)
  • Freight audit and pay tools.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) 
  • Note: Candidates should be comfortable working in shift based on business needs (Shift timings IST: S1 shift- 6am to 3pm / S2 shift:3pm to 12 pm)

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP/DG certification will be added advantage. PBI skills
