The Impact You’ll Make

As a Materials Planner at Lam, you play a vital role in coordinating the movement of materials throughout the production cycle. You determine material requirements and specifications, produce needed materials, and maintain bills of materials (BOM). Your expertise in material management will help shape Lam's streamline and cost-effective production processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze suppliers’ performance in terms of meeting our need dates and the parts commit
  • Driving Supply chain more towards proactive approach than reactive approach in terms of inventory management and shortage mitigation
  • Assess impact of component shortages on purchase orders for assemblies (Remote Factory Critical Shortages)
  • Automating playbooks with priority-based planning 
  • Become the data quality gate keeper that identifies discrepancies/gaps and works with the necessary sources to monitor and cleanse the data
  • Manages supply / demand plan by identifying forecast opportunities, gaps, or risks then seeking approval to mitigate by either driving increases to supply or increasing the demand signal.  (e.g., load demand signals via floats, System Pull ins, and independent demand
  • Will be driving Rapid response tool enhancements with GIS team.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing
  • Configure the system to support business requirements, design / configure different seeded resources like worksheets, Alerts, Metrics, scorecards, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical, Electrical, and production) or equivalent with Min 7 -10 years of working experience in Procurement, Planning (Through Rapid response tool mandatory), Supply chain and Operations exposure are preferred.
  • Experience with Supply Chain procurement and capacity assessment processes – an understanding of medium and long-term planning, assessment and methodology is critical.
  • Experience in Kinaxis Rapid Response
  • Ability to Design and deliver reporting that will track performance improvement against current state and summarize recommendations based on results on a regular basis to key BP’s
  • Executive messaging and ability to work cross functionally and drive decision making in a matrixed environment
  • Semiconductor equipment knowledge and continuous learning to effectively consider how technical roadmaps of the business units (product lifecycle) and economic trends can affect our supply/demand streams
  • Willing to work in shift: 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM (Willing to work in any shift)

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP knowledge
  • Kinaxis Rapid Response Contributor Certification
  • PMP certified is preferred
