The Impact You’ll Make

Lam Research is seeking an experienced, Spares Global Planner to join their Global Products Planning Team. 
This critical position will partner with Spares Planning management and will be responsible for Demand planning, optimize spares parts forecasting, inventory management, order fulfillment and supply planning by utilizing various planning tools and strategies.
The position will independently drive the planning for assigned Spares Portfolio, working along with cross-functional stakeholders, in a matrix environment and present the relevant planning KPIs to the management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assuring the availability of replenishment spare parts and upgrade kits for North America Customers as well as for regional depots in North America, Europe and Asia
  • Manage the planning and resupply of material for an assigned set of parts, in support of organizational asset management and customer service goals
  • Rely on both the analysis of historical consumption and the technical expertise of new product evaluation
  • Implement ERP planning parameter changes as determined by the established process of parameter review against demand and installed base
  • Reviews and reacts to MRP exception messages to correct due-date shortfalls in planned supply, with a focus on specific customer account requirements for material availability and corporate financial results for asset management
  • Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action analyses for unexpected, undesirable results and present them to management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in the field of Industrial Production/Mechanical 
  • (APICS CSCP/CPIM preferred) with 5 – 6/8 years of experience in an MRP-based Planning or Manufacturing operation
  • Strong skills in the areas of service parts/spares parts planning 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and system skills
  • Proficiency in SAP MM or worked in any ERP, MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
    • Advanced level in MS Excel (write macros)
    • Intermediate level MS Access
  • High energy, strong work ethic, adaptive, able to meet tight deadlines
  • Proven ability and skill set to analyze, document and improve business processes with sustained results
  • High level of customer interfacing skills, effective listener, professional and courteous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate cross-functionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a desire to work as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with service planning, forecasting, and optimization system software (Preferably Service Parts Management) or Kinaxis
  • Semiconductor capital equipment product knowledge and relevant experience in the semiconductor industry
