The Group You’ll Be A Part Of

As a Project Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Operations under LIGHT GPE (Lam India Global Hardware Technology Global Products Engineering) group.

 

What You’ll Do

You will be helping to assure that Lam’s products are in compliance with EHS related product regulations. The process for compliance with any product regulation involves:

  • Reading the regulation directly as well as authoritative commentary, and obtaining external party advice, as needed.
  • Determining aspects of the regulation have a footprint on Lam design decisions and operational processes
  • Conducting discovery exercises to estimate the number of components, modules, systems or business processes that might have to be confirmed for compliance.
  • Developing a program and policy structure that will ensure ongoing compliance with the regulation.
  • Providing training material and review meetings to ensure stakeholders are sufficiently aware of the requirements and can realize or provided feedback to the program design.
  • In this role, you will work with leads for product compliance campaigns (and other stakeholders) to define, execute, and report on progress for specific task deliverables. It will be an on-going learning curve as new regulations and new information about the regulations, and the related Lam interaction with them, becomes known and priorities shift.  

Who We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years and up to 6 years of experience designing semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Applied knowledge (e.g., having done redesign for compliance, or compliance assessments) of product regulations such as REACH, RoHS, CE Marking, NFPA, EMC as it relates to capital equipment
  • Experience in applying SEMI safety standards to semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Familiarity with a few current regulations and related program aspects that Lam has in place.
  • Willingness to study available, but sometimes draft, information about a regulation to learn the basic technical topic and focus, and the requirements as they might relate to Lam products and operations.
  • Comfortable with often changing or somewhat vague priorities

Desired Skills

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • Experience in project management, or problem solving while managing time and multiple priorities.
  • Skilled at problem statements and SMART task descriptions
  • Very skilled in Excel, Power Point, Word and SharePoint
  • Adept at self-direction
