Job Responsibilities

 

  • Designs and analyses medium-complex mechanical systems and sub-systems
  • Conducts feasibility studies, calculations and testing on new and modified designs.
  • Conduct Design review to get buy-in from cross functional team
  • Provides design information to drafting support for packaging design and documentation.
  • Study and recommend solutions for problem reports
  • Work collaboratively with Product Group team

 

Minimum Qualification

 

  • Years of experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing/Automobile)

 

Skills required

 

 

Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:

  • Concept design and development of medium complex mechanical parts and assemblies such as machined parts, and welded structures in collaboration with CFT
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge on machining, welding and sheet-metal fabrications
  • Thorough knowledge in GD&T, tolerance stack up and interference calculations
  • Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using Creo (Pro-E) or any CAD packages
  • Ability to work well in a team, in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while remaining a team player

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge in reading Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID)
  • Basic knowledge on analysis software such as Pro-Mechanica, NX modelling
  • Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process
  • Knowledge of DFX
  • Exposure to Value Analysis /Value Engineering concepts would be an advantage
