There is an opening for the role of Mechanical Program Lead Engineer. This position is based out of Bangalore, directly reporting to the leader of Clean-Mechanical team in WETS (Wet Equipment Technology Solutions) Group of LIGHT. This individual will provide project ownership in developing new product for Clean Product Line.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Program Lead Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.

  • Experience in driving concurrent engineering projects involving Fluid systems & fabricated & Machined components/assemblies based on DFX skills.
  • Expertise in Sheet metal manufacturing processes and material selection. Experience in design for manufacturing & assembly
  • Experience in working collaboratively with Cross functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply chain, Electrical/controls engineering and Product safety) to meet project deliverables.
  • Design, develop and release product systems through owning high/Medium complex projects and working closely with engineering teams in India and the Product Group in Villach, Austria. These projects can originate as part of New Product Development (NPD),
  • Responsible for technical deliverables for defined product/systems self & extended team.
  • Own & drive team level KPI’s. Accountable for delivering on time and with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Structured approach to troubleshooting, problem solving & conflict management
  • Lead & drive concurrent engineering projects involving Fluid systems, fabricated & Machined components/assemblies based on DFX skills.
  • Exposure to department engineering process flows & actions to meet the requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Experience in Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) domain (Good to have)
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, Siemens NX, ProE, SolidWorks, and others.

Preferred Qualifications

      Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering with minimum 12 experience.

Mandatory skills and experience required to perform the job:

  • Experience in leading/driving concurrent engineering projects involving Fluid systems & fabricated & Machined components/assemblies.
  • Experience in leading/driving and managing projects in collaboration with CFT (Manufacturing, Supply chain, Electrical/controls engineering and Product safety) for project deliverables
  • Expertise in Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Serviceability, Cost principles, and Engineering Change Management
  • Own & drive team level KPI’s. Accountable for delivering on time and with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Experience in design of Fluidics and Pneumatics systems and selection of OEM components like Fluid system fittings, Valves, Transducers, Pressure Regulators, Sensors, Gauges, etc.
  • Exposure in Plastic materials, Plastic manufacturing processes (Machining and Jointing / Traditional / Additive Mfg)
  • Provide technical guidance (from design perspective) and mentoring to extended team.
