Position: Mechanical Technical Lead Engineer

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Years of experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelors / Masters in Mechanical Engineering

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop concept design and execute high complex Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical design projects. Make design decisions on major sub-assemblies
  • Improve and enhance existing Modules/Sub-systems and implement cost-effective ideas
  • Optimize design to address Reliability, Cost, Manufacturing and Performance issues
  • Collaborate with India team, US vendors and US based PG Engineers on a regular basis
  • Define project schedule, release drawings for prototype, initiate Purchase Order, co-ordinate with vendor, conduct test in collaboration with Lab Engineers and modify design to meet performance requirements
  • Provide timely response and resolution to design related issues encountered during the build process
  • Conduct Design review to get buy-in from cross functional teams
  • Create and release engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process

 Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:

  • Concept design and development – ability to understand engineering requirement specifications, propose cost effective and feasible design solutions and validate them using design quality tools such as DFMEA/DFMA/DFX etc.,
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge on machining (conventional & non-conventional), welding and sheet metal fabrications
  • Proficient in selection of materials and OEM (off-the-shelf) components such as fasteners, valves, fittings, gauges etc.,
  • Proficient in GD&T, tolerance stack up and interference calculations
  • Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using Creo (Pro-E) or any other CAD packages

 Desirable Skill:

  • Experience in managing full life cycle projects (Project Management)

 

  • Exposure to Value Analysis /Value Engineering (VAVE) concepts would be an advantage
  • Working knowledge on analysis softwares such as Pro-Mechanica, NX modelling
  • Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process
  • Knowledge on Semiconductor equipment and its sub systems
