Job Description

Computer Vision & Machine Learning (Robotics)

We are looking to hire a computer vision & machine learning engineer to join a team building robotic solutions for semiconductor fabrication facilities. This person will design & implement solutions to computer vision problems using both classical and machine learning driven approaches.

The new-hire will also learn to operate & test robotic systems as part of a cross-functional team.

The candidate should have 5 or more years of academic + work experience relevant to robotics, computer vision, and/or machine learning software development.

The new-hire will need to develop a working technical understanding of Lam etch and dep chamber hardware and processes. This knowledge will be used to work closely with engineering teams to design, create and test robotics systems. The new-hire will need to develop a strong wholistic technical understanding of the robotics product that goes beyond just the software.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement CV/ML systems built on classical and deep learning based methods
  • Design systems and machine learning models that deliver insights from multimodal datasets
  • Work collaboratively with a team to design, build, test and troubleshoot robotics systems
  • Train other engineers
  • Working with outside vendors/integrators may be needed
  • Work onsite in the lab most of the time
  • Willing to travel several times per year

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 -10 years of academic and/or work experience relevant to computer vision or machine learning software development
  • Knowledge of the following languages and frameworks: Python, SQL, OpenCV, ML Platform such as Tensorflow or PyTorch.
  • Experience collaborating on software projects using version control, preferably Git
  • Experience with Robotics & Automation Systems
  • MS or PhD-level education in hardware and software is preferred (degrees in mechanical engineering and robotics or mechatronics and computer science or similar)
