Modeling Engineer 3

Primary Responsibilities

• Builds Computational Fluid Dynamics models of complex reactor systems to aid product/process development. Willing to learn and explore multi physics problems where CFD modeling is involved.
• Collaborates with engineers from various Business Units to address customer escalation by simulating process conditions like flow, thermal, chemical reaction, mass transport and then recommends appropriate design solutions.
• Writes reports to summarize modeling activity and presents to Product Development teams as necessary.
• Improves modeling techniques by defining modeling methods for Multiphysics problems (Thermal, Flow and Plasma) and publish Best Known Methods

Mandatory Skills

• Strong expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling
• Engineering judgment and creativity to solve complex problems, validate model accuracy, and determine appropriate actions.
• Demonstrated conversion of physical problem into mathematical model
• Experience in preparation of technical report / failure report based on analysis results
• High learning agility to quickly pick up product knowledge, domain knowledge and software tool expertise to model high fidelity multi physics complex models
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationship with local and global stakeholders, effective communication skills to be successful in matrix organization

Minimum Qualifications

Educational qualification: M.S./M.E./M.Tech/PhD in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

Years of Experience: Masters with 5 years of relevant experience, 2 to 3 years with PHD

Desirable Skills

• Use of modeling tools like Fluent/Star CCM+
• Sound knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing equipment and plasma physics will be added advantages.
• Ansys , Spaceclaim, Fluent maching, ansys workbench
• Programming language – python
• IIT / NIT/ IISC
