About Us

Lam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge-semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas – deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean. Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. We have an open position in the Hardware group. The Hardware group, designs subassemblies and subsystems for Lam’s product lines, providing innovation for the next-generation products, providing improvements in cost and reliability.

 

There is an opening for the role of Product manager role within the Customer Support Business Group (CSBG) of LIGHT organization. This position will be based out of Bangalore and will closely be working with the Spare Product Management & Cross functional teams across global regions of Lam Research like US & India. CSBG mainly focuses on delivering value to customers throughout the product lifecycle by providing Spares, Upgrades and services to maximize the value of customer capital assets.

This high energy individual will focus on Spares product management operations and activities like Orphan parts and Obsolescence management for our Etch product lines. Meet Corporate metrics and goals set to achieve excellence and deliver fast solutions to our global Customer. Also, collaborate with various global product and field support teams to address issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage orphan parts impact as part of Spares and services support to drive appropriate business decisions
  • Review and approve changes to product configuration through Engineering Change Requests
  • Analyze forecast data, Part usage history and current manufacturing consumption
  • Analyze and disposition problem reports
  • Classify PRs and conduct routine obsolete disposition activities
  • Utilizing product PLC mapping and analytical resources as a guide to identify needed resolution program and assign to senior PM support
  • Execute closed loop projects for Engineering changes and Spares portfolio management
  • Understand Spare requirement for New/Current Product lines
  • Analyze different product stages like Refurbishment, Spares & services support
  • Support cross functional team / suppliers for data related to obsolescence and Last Time Buy (LTB)
  • Develop and manage data for data analysis and reporting

Mandatory skills

  • Able to understand various Product Life Cycle business process, Obsolescence mgt and part /assemblies impact analysis
  • Sound business judgement acumen, with an ability to analyze business cases, analyze and optimize financial impact
  • Stakeholder management, both within various global organizations of the company and customer facing sales team across multiple geographical locations
  • Relevant experience in Engineering Change Management, Product structuring and Configuration management
  • Able to understand individual part attributes and function as part of a larger equipment system
  • Small Scale project management
  • Excellent communication and Presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Industrial Production with minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Desirable Skill

  • Configuration Engineer experience
  • Familiarity with Power BI a plus
  • Engineering Change Management in SAP PLM
  • Exposure to PDM [Team Center]
  • Exposure to Finance basis (Gross margin, ROI)
  • Knowledge of Quick base development is an added advantage
