The Impact You’ll Make

As a Project Engineer at Lam, you're not merely managing projects - you're driving advancements integral to the design and development of Lam's products. Leading cross-functional teams, you'll steer the execution of engineering projects, leveraging your technical prowess and strategic insight to deliver enhanced products. Your focus on continuous improvement in the development lifecycle will be pivotal as you own project to optimize and enhance Lam's offerings.

What You’ll Do

• Project manage customer special requests - Non-Standard Requests (NSRs) based on requirements defined by Sales and Engineering to meet the customer’s requirements in semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing. 
• Review and translate customer requirements into engineering specifications including component impact analysis.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and software engineering efforts to meet the production requirements of customer specific systems.
• Drive clarity in initial customer request. Confirm that Engineering has sufficient information to develop scope, quote and design.
• Reduce NSRs by interacting with PMs, Engineering, and NSR-Dep Team to cancel redundant design activities
• Confirm Customer Request Date (CRD) are sufficiently in the future. If dates are inside Lead Time, understand and validate justification. Expedite, manage expectations/communicate risks with Sales Ops, or Reject the request.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• BE in Mechanical / Industrial Production Engineering with 4+ years of experience; or
• Master's degree with 2+ year of experience. 

Skills You Should Have to Perform the Job:

• Exposure to product structuring and configuration management
• Experience with Hardware Configuration/Product Management
• Experience with MRP system planning, ordering, and scheduling materials, preferably using SAP.
• Ability to successfully interact with and coordinate across diverse parts of the organization, technical and non-technical
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Bill of Material structures and Engineering Change process
• Excellent Presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Engineering Change Management
• 2-3 years of Project management experience
• The ability to effectively use Windows based applications to gather and analyze data
• Exposure to any CAD tool and PDM / PLM systems

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
