Eligibility Criteria:

  • Years of Experience:       Minimum 10-12 years
  • Job Experience:                Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in Procurement
  • Educational:                      Bachelor’s Degree /MBA (SCM or Operations); CSCP desirable
  • Willing to work in shift: 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervises group of buyers with associated suppliers and commodities
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within Supply chain and Manufacturing and report procurement progress via regular meetings
  • Perform analysis related to procurement, suppliers performance, forecasting of future demand and future cost reduction
  • Handle the manufacturing shortages in US factories and handling the esclations in shortage call
  • Requires domestic or global expertise of commodity market and supply chain processes
  • Maintain and report weekly KPI’s including OTD and lead time fidelity
  • Supervises group of buyers with associated suppliers and commodities
  • Provide root cause for falling below requirement and provide corrective action
  • Oversee supplier relationships to review open action items, suppliers performance, forecasting of future demand
  • Negotiate with suppliers for cancellation charges within authorized limits
  • Escalate problem reports that prevent PO's from being issued or material from being delivered
  • Escalate issues to Supplier business manager in a timely fashion


Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:

  • Proven experience in managing a Procurement team within a core manufacturing company
  • Experience in SAP (MM) and ERP systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    • Expert level in MS Excel
  • Experience working with global suppliers and handling the factory shortages
  • Experience in performing Root cause analysis and Corrective actions
  • Basic understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data
  • Hands-on mentality, detail oriented
  • Ability to identify problems in a timely fashion and escalate appropriately
  • Good organization skills and follow through
  • Excellent communication skills (clear and concise written & verbal)



Desirable Skill:

  • Knowledge on Mechanical drawings / Standards and electrical schematics.
