Role and Responsibilities

  • The role of SPA engineer is to provide technical operational support for Lam' customers
  • Field engineers report the customer issue/query to SPA engineers. The engineer would require to answer customer calls and respond to customer emails, implement remote diagnostics to fix problems relating to tool operation, software installation / upgradation and factory automation
  • Issue resolution comprises provision of quick fixes, performing in-depth analysis of software log files, understanding system configuration and process for root cause analysis
  • Engineer is then engaged with cross functional teams to ensure that customer issue/request is closed effectively
  • The responsibilities also include documentation reviews, creation and broadcast of technical publications/bulletins, reviewing license requests, software delivery for user groups and creating internal applications/scripts
  • The Key objective would be to drive customer escalations/requests with highest degree of commitment towards effective closure


Mandatory skills

  • Ability to diagnose and address SW application issues
  • Prior experience (6-24 months) in troubleshooting SW applications in a product environment
  • Complex problem solving
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Computer Architecture and Operating systems


Qualifications and Education Requirements

B.E/B.Tech on Computer Science| Information Science | Information Technology | Software Engineering |Electronics | Electronics and communication


Desired skills

  • Knowledge of Unix | QNX RTOS
  • Knowledge of C & C++


Additional Notes

  • This role requires to work in Shifts on a rotational basis
  • 6.00 – 15.00, 9.00 – 18.00, 12.30 – 21.30 – No Night Shifts.

Provide On-call support on weekends
