The Impact You’ll Make
Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities and maintenance department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
What You’ll Do
Manages and develops the Facilities engineering team responsible for ensuring the Manufacturing and support systems operate in a safe and cost-effective manner while delivering uninterrupted facilities services at stakeholders agreed upon quality of services levels.
Manages and develops the Maintenance team responsible for ensuring the Manufacturing equipment operates in a safe and cost-effective manner while meeting the desired availability metric through proper preventative and corrective maintenance of the CNC equipment.
Develops design engineering criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique process equipment and facility systems operating requirements and building safety codes.
Update system design and standards documentation for safe operations and maintenance based on prior system designs, lessons learned and approved modern technologies and innovations.
Selects, develops, and evaluates technical staff and professional services firms needed to support technical project delivery and the efficient delivery of site facilities services.
Provides a multi-discipline engineering review of plans for facilities changes and equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Mechanical/Process systems (Chilled Water, Exhaust, Boilers, HVAC, Compressors)
Engineering design reviews, construction oversight and start-up commissioning support for facility construction and manufacturing systems expansions.
Drive improvement of infrastructure system performance and up-time.
Direct air and water balancing services.
Provide technical oversight to operations and maintenance services providers.
Support as-built documentation of mechanical system layouts and P&ID’s.
Maintain load/capacity studies for facility infrastructure systems.
Provide technical review and approval of cleanroom certification reports.
Provide Lam specifications and standards to design firms and provide supervision and coordination of consultant resources as required.
Responsible for Operations and Maintenance of all the technical streams in Manufacturing floor and offices
Reviews quarterly tracking, monitoring, and reporting of systems capacity and operating capabilities and uptime for facilities systems and manufacturing equipment and identifies operational risks and performance improvement opportunities.
Lead cross functional engineering team meetings to share Ideas, lessons learned, and provide updates and collection inputs on modern designs, project status, innovations, etc.
Coordinate with GWS functional SME and deliver the projects as per the Lam standards.
Support sites with problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies as requested.
Provide leadership, mentoring and development of a high-performance engineering team.
Who We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering required with 18+ Years of total experience in Facilities engineering.
OR
Master’s degree with 15+ years of experience in Facilities Engineering with a focus on Engineering, Design, Construction, and operations.
At least 8 years of people management experience and presenting to executives.
Experience in managing clean room, Hazardous gases and chemicals industry is desirable.
Semiconductor industry experience is desirable
Preferred Qualifications
Provide leadership, mentoring and development of a high-performance engineering team. Working knowledge of SAP for use with purchase requisitions and orders
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint capabilities
Strong presentation skills – demonstrates presentation ability, influence, and effectiveness on complex content in front of peers.
Awareness of EHS and regulatory knowledge to help make business decisions. Ability to respond to and resolve complex challenges under pressure.
Exceptional root cause and corrective/preventive action development skills. Stakeholder management, within various global organizations of the company
Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
External vendor management
Working in a matrixed environment, especially with international stakeholders
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Will be required to travel to other Lam locations based on need
