As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.

What You’ll Do
- Owns developing the system specifications based on the product & process specification
- Responsible for system architecture options and for integrating platform, handler and process modules
- Lead program to make sure that mechanical, electrical, chemical, hardware, software and controls are integrated and work together to meet system specification
- Break up system into functional sub-systems, defines sub-system functional specifications with the budget margins. Approves the interface control documents between key sub-systems
- Owns developing of the serviceability/ reliability/ maintainability allocation model, the reliability design approach and test plans
- Develop system level test plan and approve the sub-system level test & spec verification plans
- Assures system meets engineering and compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross function teams across the globe (internal and external teams) on a regular basis
- Drive projects independently and multi-tasking without losing effectiveness
Who We’re Looking For
- Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/PhD (Mechanical/Systems Engineering)
- Years of experience: 17-22 years of relevant experience
- Experience on systems engineering activities for medium to large assemblies of capital equipment
- Skilled in the design and operation of complex industrial machinery, involving various mechanical, electrical, software systems, and a real-time control system. Familiar with the inter-relationships between sub-systems
- Capable of leading groups in structured problem-solving investigations and high-level system integration challenges
- Experience in Risk-mitigation process and RCCA (root cause and corrective action) preparation for customers
- Excellent communication skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
