Introduction

Lam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge-semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas – deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean. Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. We have an open position in the Hardware group in Supplier Quality Assessment and Development (SQAD) team

 

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Global Supplier Quality. This individual would be responsible to manage Coatings and ceramics Commodity supplier engineering tasks by working closely with suppliers and supplier engineering team in US and Asia region.

Primary Job Responsibilities

You will be managing quality of manufactured parts at assigned suppliers in  coating and ceramics commodity. Commodity owner for Statistical Process Control (SPC), data analysis, database management, standardization/BKM for the team(Best Known Methods). Evaluate the impact of Part quality related non-conformance both internal & external and provide appropriate disposition for the entire coating and ceramics commodity. Take a lead in problem solving activities and drive root cause and corrective actions with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of Non-conformances. Assist supplier in preparing and implementing 8D (RCCA), First Article, Process of Record(POR) and Problem Report (PR), etc. Drive supplier improvement through assessment and scorecard management.

 

Mandatory skills and Experience required to perform this role

  • Hands on experience in Statistical Process control implementation, Data analysis, Database management and standardization of the process using Best Known Methods(BKM)
  • Project/program management for initiatives across the commodity, “3rd party” unbiased reviewer (8Ds, multi-supplier projects/escalations)
  • Drive Root cause corrective action (RCCA) through 8Ds, Fish bone and Why -why analysis
  • Well versed in Supplier Quality management systems to manage suppliers from remote location

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Ceramics engineering or Chemistry with minimum 5yrs of relevant experience  

        Or

Master’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Ceramics engineering or Chemistry with minimum 3yrs of relevant experience
