Job Responsibilities:

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Supplier and Global stakeholders (Supply Chain, Product Group, Manufacturing). This individual would be responsible for managing and executing strategical projects, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and meet Project/Quality metrics of Sheetmetal/ Weldment/ Commercial Off the Shelf commodity (COTs). Individual’s primary job responsibilities are listed below:

• Assess potential Sheetmetal/ Weldment/COTs, suppliers for capability, capacity, quality systems, and compliance with industry standards. Lead supplier audits and qualification processes
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop, refine, and optimize Sheetmetal/ Weldment/COTs component manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Provide technical support to suppliers on Sheetmetal/ Weldment/COTs components assembly techniques, materials selection, and manufacturing best practices. Troubleshoot process and product-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of supplier qualifications, process specifications, test procedures, and quality records.
• Work independently to handle commodity projects like regionalization, dual sourcing, new supplier qualifications and obtains CFT approvals thru design reviews. Support on commodity initiatives like NCe reduction programs to improve the supplier quality.
• Collaborate cross functionally and globally to execute strategies and clearly communicate across engineering specializations and different levels of the organization for strategy implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in in Mech/Prod/Automobile Engineering with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience/Masters with minimum 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.   
• Hands on experience in Supplier Assessment, evaluation, qualification, and development process.
• Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic and fast paced business environment with cross-functional teams to execute the project and meet deliverables.
• Knowledge on Sheet metal parts, Weldments and OEM/Off the shelf components like, Fasteners, Regulators, Valves, Manifolds, Circuit breakers, etc.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with Power BI, 8D problem-solving methodology, GD&T symbols, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) practiced at supplier end.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with MS office tools (ppt, excel, project), statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)
• Develop best practices/best known methods (BKMs) to improve the process
• Experience in handling suppliers from remote location
• Hands on experience in any ERP tools like SAP, Oracle
• Project Management certification like PMP
