Job Responsibilities

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India and with Global Supplier Quality organization. This individual would be responsible to manage Power box / electromechanical box build’s supplier engineering activities by working closely with suppliers, Engineering and supply chain teams in US and Asia region. Primary job responsibilities of the role are listed below:

• Assess potential Power box / Electro-mechanical box build suppliers for capability, capacity, quality systems, and compliance with industry standards. Lead supplier audits and qualification processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop, refine, and optimize Power Box manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Identify opportunities for process / efficiency improvements and hold supplier accountable to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical support to suppliers on Power Box design, assembly techniques, components selection, testing and manufacturing best practices. Troubleshoot process and product-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of supplier qualifications, process specifications, test procedures, and quality records.
• Collaborate with cross functional and global teams to execute strategies and clearly communicate with stakeholders on strategy implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronics or Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience/Masters with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience   
• Hands on experience in Supplier assessments, qualification, and development processes
• Strong understanding on manufacturing & testing processes of Power box. This includes building a complex assembly, cable routing, crimping, torquing, sheet metal components, circuit breakers, cables, harnesses etc.,
• Exposure to various testing methods such as continuity, Hi-pot, electrical load, power supply tests etc., and strong ability to interpret test reports, electrical schematics, specifications, BOM & mechanical drawings.
• Proficient in Problem solving tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, DOE etc.,
• Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic and fast paced business environment with cross-functional teams to execute the project and meet deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical and manufacturing standards (IPC 620D, Semi S2, OSHA, RoHS, UL, ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 & ISO 13485:2016)
• Experience in handling suppliers from remote location and maintaining a strong working relationship.
• Experience in working in any ERP tool (ex. SAP, Oracle) & statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)
• Strong analytical skills to convert data into information and craft executive level summaries
