Job Responsibilities:

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India. This individual would be responsible to manage PCBA commodity supplier engineering tasks by working closely with suppliers and supplier engineering team in US and Asia region. Individual’s primary job responsibilities are listed below: 

• Assess potential PCBA suppliers for capability, capacity, quality systems, and compliance with industry standards. Lead supplier audits and qualification processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop, refine, and optimize PCBA manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Provide technical support to suppliers on PCBA design, assembly techniques, materials selection, and manufacturing best practices. Troubleshoot process and product-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of supplier qualifications, process specifications, test procedures, and quality records.
• Work independently to handle commodity projects like regionalization and dual sourcing projects, NCe reduction programs, new supplier qualification and obtains CFT approvals thru design reviews.
• Collaborate cross functionally and globally to execute strategies and clearly communicate across engineering specializations and different levels of the organization for strategy implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics, Electronics and Communication engineering with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience/Masters with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
• Hands on experience in Supplier assessments, evaluation, qualification, and development process.
• Working knowledge and understanding manufacturing processes of PCBA (Solder Paste Printing/Inspection, SMT Process, Reflow, Wave Soldering, Washing, different Testing methods) 
• Basic understanding of test report interpretation and strong ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, interpretation of BOM, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) practiced at supplier end.
• Proficient in Problem solving tools like, 8D and 5 Why and Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, DOE etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic and fast paced business environment with cross-functional teams to execute the project and meet deliverables.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mfg. standards (IPC 610/600, J-STD, Semi S2, OSHA, RoHS, UL, ISO 9001/ IATF 16949, ISO 13485:2016 and ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical and mfg. standards (IPC 610/600, J-STD, Semi S2, OSHA, RoHS, UL, ISO 9001/ IATF 16949, ISO 13485:2016 and ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007)
• Experience in handling suppliers from remote location and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and their products.
• Strong analytical skills to reduce data into information and deliver executive level summaries
• Experience in working in any ERP tool (ex. SAP, Oracle) & statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)
• Develop best practices/best known methods (BKMs) to improve the process.
