Job Responsibilities

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Supplier and Global stakeholders (Supply Chain, Product Group, Manufacturing). This individual would be responsible for managing and executing strategical projects, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and meet Project/Quality metrics of Commercial Off the Shelf commodity (COTs). Individual’s primary job responsibilities are listed below:

• Manage complete commodity strategical activities to meet Global SQAD leadership expectations.
• Responsible for handling critical customer issues and come up with innovative ideas to avoid repeats.
• Drive projects to streamline and standardize the best practices across the COTs suppliers to proactively to reduce the risk.
• Collaborate cross functionally and globally to execute strategies. Clearly communicate across engineering specializations and different levels of the organization for strategy implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mech/mechatronics/Prod/Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience (or) Masters with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge on OEM/Off the shelf components like, Fasteners, Regulators, Valves, Manifolds, Circuit breakers, etc.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with Power BI, 8D problem-solving methodology, GD&T symbols, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) practiced at supplier end.
• Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic and fast paced business environment with cross-functional teams to execute the project and meet deliverables.
• Hands on experience in coordinating with supplier and other stake holders to drive root cause and corrective action to meet customer expectations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with MS office tools (ppt, excel, project), statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)
• Develop best practices/best known methods (BKMs) to improve the process
• Experience in handling suppliers from remote location
• Hands on experience in any ERP tools like SAP, Oracle
• Project Management certification like PMP
