Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of one or more information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems. Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Usually requires subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What You’ll Do
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the IT infrastructure and operations within the organization. This role includes ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems at the research lab space and overseeing the software lifecycle management process.
- Software Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire software lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of software applications.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient and secure operations.
- Vendor Management: Engage with vendors, manage contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Security Management: Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, ensuring data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Project Management: Coordinate IT projects, including resource allocation, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and resolve technical issues promptly.
Who We’re Looking For
- Overall experience of 6 - 9 years
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 - 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align IT infrastructure with business goals.
- Experience with cloud-based solutions, data analytics, and process automation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in IT operations management, with a focus on software lifecycle management.
- Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Proficiency in IT infrastructure, software development, and security protocols.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL or PMP are a plus.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
