Position Summary
Support for core writing staff and engineering to perform technical writing, editing and document conversion into MS Excel and/or DITA/XML content management system. Teamwork, editing skills, and attention to details are essential to this position.
Writer is responsible for creating and editing technical procedures and manuals for internal and external customer reference. Writer will obtain data/draft from engineering sources, edit the information for accuracy and completeness, and incorporate it into procedures. Additional duties include formatting and file conversion of existing documentation. Strong English language skills are required
Essential Job Functions
Writer is responsible for taking handoff package from content engineering and completing a CMS integration per the aligned and committed deadlines (both internal and external). This work includes, but is not limited to, CMS DITA/XML editing, conversion, translation, and incorporating media to create a publication. Attend and contribute to WCO (Wet Clean Optimization) content team meetings and provide status and plan for future deliverables. Define and address issues related to content package issues. Perform functions related to CMS software administration. Mentor and help train newly onboarded resources on the WCO content team as necessary.
