The Impact You’ll Make

At Lam, as an Accountant, you're central to managing and enhancing our accounting systems. With a keen eye for detail, you interpret financial reporting requirements, balance the books, and ensure accuracy of profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements. Your expertise extends to monthly report generation, supporting informed decision making. You contribute to Lam's financial accuracy and compliance.

What You’ll Do

Singapore and Malaysia Payroll

Handle monthly payroll administration and ensure it is compliant with local governmental laws.

Handle year-end individual Income Tax Reporting for regular employees, contractors and international assignees.

Handle payroll forecast twice a quarter and ensure timely updates into the forecast system.

Provide quarterly payroll cashflow requirement.

Support statutory reporting relating to payroll which include annual audit, internal audit and taxation.

Support monthly and quarterly financial close payroll accounting analysis and entries.

Support projects e.g. Digital Transformation involving payroll, as applicable.

Indirect Taxes

Support Singapore GST compliance, including preparation & analysis of financial tax information for regular reporting & filing. Assist in preparing schedules, journal entries, retrieval of information from business partners to deliver compliance and controls.

Support Singapore GST audit on an ad-hoc basis and provide timely responses as requested by business and authorities.

Support projects e.g. Digital Transformation involving Singapore GST compliance in systems testing and execution for any Singapore GST changes, as applicable.

AR Collection

 Follow up on outstanding AR invoices and ensure timely collection.

Address AR collection issue and work closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to manage and resolve issues.

Provide payment details and ensure that it is properly posted and accounted for in accounts receivable ledger.

Any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Who We’re Looking For

Accounting or Finance Degree; or Professional Certification ACCA/CA/CPA

At least 3-5 years of Finance / Accounting / Payroll experience 

Experience in supporting business finance operations (payroll process, billing, AR collection, etc.)

Understand local and governmental rules about payroll

Experience in supporting business operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of indirect tax highly preferred.

Good working knowledge of SAP (ECC) preferred.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
