Job Responsibilities

•    Assist in monitoring accurate and timely e-invoicing submission and synchronization with service provider platforms. Reconcile and resolve exceptions where applicable.
•    Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing general ledger entries, intercompany transactions, banking transaction, accounts reconciliations, based on generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and local requirements, and support month-end and quarter-end accounting close process.
•    Engage expense owners and relevant parties in performing accrual activities including open PO reviews.
•    Monitoring of prepaid expense and monthly amortization.
•    Accounting for transfer pricing including computation and recording intercompany transfer pricing activities.
•    Manage the statutory accounting and reporting including preparation of audit information and consolidation of subsidiaries in group audited financial statements.
•    Perform financial and management reporting related activities and analyze monthly, quarterly results and account balances; identify and interpret key variances, trends, and insights; present key findings to management.
•    Participate in SAP UAT testing and update such findings to the management.
•    Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agent, solicitors, bankers, company secretary, other professional and regulatory bodies.
•    Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls, financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.
•    A local reference for questions on accounting, conducting research to provide answers as needed.
•    Other projects as assigned.
•    Strong work ethics. Proactive, resourceful, able to work independently and can be relied on to follow up assigned tasks with regular updates to supervisor. Result oriented and take pride in the quality of work.
•    Problem solving and have an eye for detail to correct any mistakes. Continuously drive process improvements by challenging the ways things are done.
•    Independently liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders in foreign countries on relevant issues.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.) with at least 4 years’ experience.

•    Candidates who have good technical accounting knowledge from Big 4 accounting firm (3 years or more experience) but who do not have the practical work experience listed above will be considered. Training will be provided.

•    External audit experience with Big 4 accounting firm with good technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and attention to details.

•    Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, and consolidation of group financial statements is an advantage.
•    Experience in using the SAP system is an advantage.
•    Highly analytical and able to interpret, draw conclusions and identify issues from journals, reconciliations, and financial statements. 
•    Communicate well in English and Mandarin with foreign stakeholders.
•    Skilled in the use of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
•    Experience in the Semiconductor Manufacturing is desired.
