The Impact You’ll Make
At Lam, as an Assembler, you play a vital role in electronic, electron-mechanical, and mechanical product assembly on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a lean manufacturing clean-room environment. You’ll use your insights, computer-based instructions, hand tools and fixtures to install parts and hardware. Your expertise ensures precise setup and adjustments, holding tolerances to specifications, and contributes to the quality of Lam's products.
What You’ll Do
Navigate computer-based work instructions to install parts and hardware using hand tools and fixtures if needed; on wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) in a Lean manufacturing clean-room environment. (Responsibilities may vary depending on level)
- Ensure correct parts were delivered and perform visual inspection of components prior to installation
- Effectively use instructions and schematics, hand tools, torque wrenches, equipment and fixtures to assemble WFE
- Install parts and hardware correctly by following Cell Fusion instructions and using hand tools/fixtures if needed
- Close assigned tasks by verifying work was completed, signing off and giving a description of what was done
- Write NCI’s and escalate issues to engineering depending on level
- Provide documented feedback on work instructions through ECO process
- Assist with audits through visual inspection and verifying checklists (i.e. leak check)
- Provide flexibility and responsiveness for changing priorities including rework requirements and pilot build projects
- Work in teams to ensure workflow and production schedule is maintained
- Cross trained in multiple work centers depending on level
- Consistently exhibit behaviors that align with Lam’s core values
- Follow safe work practices by utilizing PPE and practice Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST)
Who We’re Looking For
(Qualifications may vary depending on level)
- Minimum Technical Certificate & Diploma in Engineering field.
- 1-4 Years of mechanical or related assembly experience depending on level
- Able to read, write and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
- Work 12 hour shifts in fast paced and time-sensitive environment
- Able to work in environment that require body movements in multiple positions
- Use computer-based data systems, applications, and Office software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
