The Impact You’ll Make

At Logistic department, as Automation Technician you are a SME of automation system, to manage system availability performance to meet internal customer KPI. You are responsible for system availability (ASRS/AMR/MHE), recovery process, and regular maintenance activity for hardware and software. You plan a very important role to ensure the system is running smoothly to support day to day receiving and picking activity. 

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with experienced automation technicians to learn and assist in the maintenance, recovery and operation of various automated system, such ASRS (automated storage retrieval system, AMR (autonomous mobile robots), etc.
• Perform routine inspection of material handling system (MHS) according to maintenance regime for ASRS.
• Learn and conduct basic troubleshooting/repairs/patching of all types of automation system, covering software & mech hardware.
• First level response to equipment breakdown issues. Able to perform diagnostic analysis using relevant tools for next action.
• Analyze the data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Handle/Support any assigned tasks/duties by supervisor/manager.
• Provide on-site technical 24/7 support, standby and respond of emergency.

Who We’re Looking For

• Technical Diploma in either Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic/ Mechanical Engineering required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, follow instructions from automation team, and collaborate with peers.
• Clear communication skills to ask questions, seek clarification, and report issues effectively to automation technicians.
• Ability to multitask and practice prioritization
• Able to work from height
• Able to work in day/night rotating shift pattern.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval System) and/ or AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) and/or AGV (Auto Guided Vehicles) will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
