The Impact You’ll Make
Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs. Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop electrical systems, sub-systems, and/or solutions, applying engineering methods to design.
- Contributes to research and development efforts by collecting and analyzing data to improve electrical system designs.
- Develops functional specifications for electrical/ electro-mechanical systems and power distribution components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM system components.
- Coordinates with engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. As and when needed, inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet operation requirements with compliance to building and safety codes.
- Responsible for all engineering and operational performance of all facilities electrical systems supporting manufacturing cleanrooms, office, and logistic warehouses. Core responsibility includes, but not limited to electrical power distribution, transformer, and switchgear infrastructure, low voltage controls and power SCADA.
- Drive improvement of electrical system infrastructure to ensure high reliability without impact to production.
- Maintain load/capacity information for all electrical distribution switchgear, transformers, and panels.
- Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, analysis, and results to diverse audiences in design reviews.
- Manage and own all electrical system operations. Ensure any modifications and contractor installations reflect all quality standards. Ensure that the vendors are coordinated with Lam Engineering (Mechanical, Process and Electrical) for proper delivery and implementation for controls on infrastructure projects.
- Experiences in Solar PV engineering design & installation.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 8 -10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing/R&D lab/wafer fab. Technical degree/certificate and equivalent experience may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), signal and controls theory, development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation.
- Solid understanding of AC/DC Power distribution systems.
- In depth system level understanding of Electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.
