The Impact You’ll Make
At Lam, as a Financial Analyst, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and influence sound business decisions based on your expertise in interpreting data, performing analysis, modeling, and understanding financial outlook. You’re in a high visibility role working with internal business partners at all levels and across functions, on challenging and rewarding projects that help shape Lam's financial strategies and decisions for the future.
Specifically in this role, you will be part of a team responsible for monitoring and tracking approximately $200M of Lam-owned inventory held at supplier locations. As financial analyst supporting Global Operations, you'll also be responsible for recurring tasks that directly support our business partners abilities to run the business.
What You’ll Do
- Support Supply Chain efforts for monitoring and tracking company-owned inventory at offsite locations and the collection and processing of outstanding receivables for sales of inventory to suppliers.
- Perform financial forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and operational metrics tracking in support of financial cycles: Quarterly Commit/Forecast Reviews (QXR), Balance Sheet Review (BSR) and Annual Operating Planning (AOP).
- Manage quarter-end close processes including variance analysis and actuals vs. forecast reporting of inventory and various Manufacturing Cost of Sales expenses ensuring timeliness and accuracy while meeting stringent deadlines.
- Partner with Supply Chain to track forecasted Supplier claim E&O reserves and manage the quarterly Supplier claim accruals.
- Ensure compliance with SOX 404 internal controls related to inventory at offsite locations and compile documentation to support requests from internal and external auditors.
- Run various weekly Manufacturing Cost of Sales reports in support of monthly close process, including posting journal entries as required.
- Partner with Supply Chain to influence and support their key objectives and corporate cost savings initiatives.
- Identify and lead business process improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide support to the business partners who are principally located in Livermore, CA and Tualatin, OR.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree or equivalent certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Attention to details and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.
- Very strong, accurate accounting skills with attention to details
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to create detailed reconciliations, including complete analysis under rigorous deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of US GAAP and India GAAP is a plus.
- Prior experience within technology, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
- SAP and Business Objects experience is highly desirable or demonstrable strong systems skills.
- Experience in business intelligence (BI) technologies, tools, and concepts.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams including occasional flexible schedules to accommodate time zones.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
