Global Risk Manager

Job Responsibilities
The Global Risk Manager will work closely with the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer to provide oversight of global property, casualty, and management liability insurance programs. This role will assist in driving initiatives to define and support the company’s risk management philosophy and to build processes and policies that scale with changes in the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the Global Risk Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing operational management and administration of the global property, casualty, and management liability insurance programs including renewal preparation, and timely and effective claims management
- Ownership and maintenance of risk exposure registries and facilitating proper communication of exposure changes to brokers
- Commercial contract review and negotiation of insurance related provisions
- Ensuring commercial contract playbooks and insurance guidelines reflect industry best practices and insurance broker recommendations.
- Coordination and delivery of certificates of insurance to ensure contractual compliance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Legal, HR, and Global Operations to prepare regular risk reporting as well as participate in risk management initiatives such as business continuity.
- Developing new risk reporting, risk analytics, and risk dashboards.
- Supporting the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer in the management of relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party claims processors
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years corporate risk management in a multi-country capacity and/or insurance industry-related work experience involving clients with a global footprint.
- Solid understanding of insurance language, renewal procedures, and claims management.
- Strong systems knowledge with common software packages. Fluency with PowerPoint and Excel are critical.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both cross-functionally and independently.
- Strong analytical ability to analyze solutions presented by brokers and carriers.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Very strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and to act with discretion and judgment.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations.
- Willingness and ability to take on additional projects related to the department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Risk Management Certification such as ARM, CRM, etc. is a plus.
- Experience with visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau will be added advatages.
