Job Responsibilities

  • To be based in Kuala Lumpur International Airport Sepang, Selangor
  • Coordinate the activities of subordinates involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee and participate in counting, weighing, and measuring incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Review customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.
  • Authorize special orders within procedural and established limits.
  • Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests; documents transactions, prepares requisitions and computes costs.
  • Determine method of shipment based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; packages, weighs and marks container for shipment; prepares necessary forms such as bills of lading.
  • Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.
  • Review difficult or complex work procedures to answer questions presented by workers.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift as needed.
  • Model continuous improvement and alignment with Lead methodologies behaviors for peers.

Other Job Responsibilities

Safety Protocol:

  • Complete all required safety training
  • Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, stretching when needed, etc.
  • Adhere to personal/ and product safety guidelines by:
  • Utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures.
  • Following Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST)
  • Utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tool) to aid in the assembly of tools.
  • Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct and/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments
  • Respond directly and quickly to unsafe practices; escalate to next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); and escalate any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, etc., not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma in any discipline. Logistics disciplines will be an added advantage.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in material handling and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations – SAP system experience will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials.
  • Knowledge of record keeping practices.
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
  • Skill in operating automotive, materials handling and office equipment.
  • Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects.
  • MHE trained – any MHE Handling experience will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, PPT, OneNote.
