The Impact You’ll Make
This role is responsible for management of a region of Site Master Scheduling teams. Site teams are responsible for reviewing and maintaining the accuracy of the master production schedule along with consistency to the production plan and downstream impact to the material plan (MRP). This role works closely with the Global Production Planning team as well as manufacturing, supply chain and logistics to address both forecast and hard order changes, adjusting the master production schedule to ensure that customer need is met. This role requires product, plant, process and market knowledge due to the great impact on customer delivery, material and capacity planning as well as ability to manage regional teams.
What You’ll Do
Each site master scheduling team is tasked with creating detailed schedules, monitoring them for accuracy, and adjusting them as necessary to respond to any operational changes. The day-to-day tasks of a Master Scheduler are dynamic and vary extensively to adapt to the demands of the industry. These roles demand a high degree of precision and strategic foresight. As a regional manager of these site teams, key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing site master schedules to ensure they align with company objectives and production capabilities.
- Analyzing project specifications, resource data, and production factors to create coherent schedules.
- Collaborating with other function heads and project managers to forecast long-term and short-term product needs.
- Identifying potential schedule disruptions and developing contingency plans to mitigate any adverse effects on production.
- Monitoring production status and ensuring scheduling adherence, reporting discrepancies and variances to higher management.
- Maintaining a comprehensive record of all scheduling activities, changes, and outcome assessments.
- Adjusting schedules / site responsibilities based on equipment downtime, workforce changes, customer order distribution or new production priorities.
- Training and supporting team members on best practices to drive global accountability, alignment and standardization where appropriate.
- Empowering global collaboration by promoting cross-functional and cross-regional teamwork, leveraging diverse perspectives, and encouraging open communication across all levels of the organization to achieve common goals.
- Enabling innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies and methodologies to improve scheduling and order fulfillment processes across global sites.
Who We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is typically required.
- Professional certification such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS is highly regarded.
- 6+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
- 6+ years of leadership experience
- Strong proficiency in using scheduling software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar ERP software solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential to address scheduling challenges efficiently.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
