The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze trade data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize trade operations and enhance compliance with local and international trade regulations.
  • Work closely with the logistics, supply chains and finance departments to ensure cohesive trade operations.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant trade laws and regulations, including Malaysian LMW license requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and comprehensive audits of shipment documentation to ensure strict compliance with all applicable local and international trade rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop and refine trade-related systems and technologies for better efficiency.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
  • Proactive in identifying potential challenges and developing appropriate solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large amounts of data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners.
  • LMW/FCZ/FIZ/BW management in line with Customs and other OGA requirements.  
  • Digitization the processes of transforming information from a physical format to a digital version/paperless. Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to enhance trade data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Digitize the LMW reporting and operational activities into digital data to automate operations or workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Transportation/International Shipping or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in trade operations, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of LMW, Free Industrial Zone, Free Commercial Zone, Bonded Warehouse in Malaysia.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
