Job Responsibilities

  • Manage standard cost requests in the cost accounting email inbox; provide timely response and action to resolve issues and close requests;
  • Support Supply Chain efforts for monitoring and tracking company-owned inventory at offsite locations and the collection of outstanding receivables for sales of inventory to suppliers
  • Analyze and review Bills of Material (BOM) and standard costs to ensure accurate product costing;
  • Design and analyze complex transactions for Cost of Goods Sold, Inventory and Production Order Variances;
  • Complete monthly close responsibilities related to manufacturing costs, work-in-process inventory, manufacturing accruals and ensuring timeliness and accuracy meeting stringent deadlines;
  • Provide support to the business partners (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, business units)
  • Perform standard cost rollups on a periodic basis and provide revaluation impact analysis;
  • Identify cost accounting process improvements to facilitate scalability and streamlining;
  • Work closely with cross functional operations business partners and the Finance teams (Europe, Asia, U.S.) on critical tool shipments, annual operating plans, metrics, cost roll, variance reporting, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 internal controls and compile documentation to support requests from internal and external auditors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience including 1 year of Manufacturing accounting in a manufacturing environment;
  • Ability to understand the manufacturing environment and the associated financial processes, experience preferred;
  • Ability to effectively analyze transactional level detail in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, preferably prior SAP experience
  • Strong business skills and effective understanding of financial, distribution and manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to multi-task, flexibility to reprioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment and completion of responsibilities by deadlines;
  • Consistently demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills to collaborate and build positive relationships with other Finance teams as well as other organizations to effectively make recommendations, implement process improvements, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivots/Vlookups, and Microsoft Access with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data, create models and analyze results with speed and accuracy.
  • SAP experience within the Material Master and Logistics modules to support cost accounting functions.
  • Very strong, accurate accounting skills with attention to details and the ability to meet a very compact month and quarter close schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to create detailed reconciliations, including complete analysis under rigorous deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and flexibility to reprioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment.
  • Demonstrate clear English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Action-oriented and solution-driven and able to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Strong leadership potential, with initiative and ability to demonstrate effective decision-making skills.
