Job Responsibilities

Position Summary

• Work as a part of the trade operations team in Batu Kawan, along with US and India. Handling trade operations with both supply chain and manufacturing in the areas of LMW compliance.
• Will participate in LMW reporting, validation, and development of procedures.  Supporting both domestic and foreign suppliers, and Lam manufacturing. 

Responsibilities include :

• Alignment of LMW requirements with Lam Suppliers in Malaysia and globally  Working with classification, tracking inbound supplies and testing against inventory and LMW reporting.
• Coordinate and manage inbound supply and oversight for capital equipment.  Manage related LMW traceability and filings
• Oversight of classification submissions with Lam’s Foreign Trade organization. Coordinate with FT and supply chain on supplier classification and classification differences
• Engaging Foreign Trade on periodic review to align on categorizations
• Alerting Foreign Trade of parts that do not conform to any existing designations
• Update LMW parts database and assist with A1, A2, A3 exemption list filings
• Support Customs enquiries, customs rulings and imports under protest
• Reporting and analytics

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of LMW requirements in Penang.  Nature of monthly and annual reports, in the context of Lam’s raw materials. 
• Good communication skills
• Attention to details
• Working knowledge and technical abilities with the following:
• SAP
• MS office tools (Advanced Excel)
• Familiarity with principals of Global Trade, including inco terms, freight management and certain legal entity formats
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• 5+ years’ experience across logistics, customs brokerage, air freight, and transportation
• Experience with Malaysia, US, and other country customs processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional skills: Power Apps and Power BI
• Mandarin a bonus
• National customs certification
