Job Responsibilities
  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in the production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives within a cross-matrixed and global organization.
  • Prioritizes 24/7 production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Acts as a manufacturing liaison between site and the rest of the company, alliance partners, distributors and end-user customers, driving the correction of product problems and remediation of any process deficiencies in a timely fashion.
  • Adheres to and upholds safety regulations.
  • Independently resolves most manufacturing operations issues (customer requirements, all input variables to process, facilities issues, technical problems) within set operation parameters, proactively engaging Supply Chain senior leaders as needed to escalate or revisit based on changing business requirements.
  • Maintain and improve factory processes and operating systems for the manufacture of wafer fabrication equipment including production efficiency, waste reduction, cycle times, capacity, manufacturing and design capabilities and others as needed.
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Other Job Responsibilities
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Develops and leads high impact continuous improvement strategies incorporating the principles of lean manufacturing, a value stream approach, and the voice of the customer as appropriate to the specific objectives of the strategy. 
  • Manage complex processes and projects, work under tight time constraints and effectively work in a cross-matrixed environment.
  • Bias for action, both tactical and strategic
Minimum Qualification
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of related management experience with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong leadership experience and demonstrated drive for process improvement required
  • Operations management experience required
  • Knowledge of industrial / manufacturing processes, human factor, organizational behavior
  • Familiar with the forecasting and acquisition of capital equipment necessary to facilitate productions capacity requirements.
  • Basic understanding of design principles and processes
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing and advanced (preferred) manufacturing methodologies and assembly processes with vacuum systems specifically fittings and connections
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Kanban a must
  • Database software, Microsoft Office Suite, Enterprise Systems
  • Effective problem solving and learning mindset, strong decision maker.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualification
  • Six Sigma (Black Belt) is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in the high-tech industry preferred
