This position will have significant experience in delivering objectives and building strategy for a supply commodity within the supply chain organisation.

• Development and deployment of new suppliers for critical technology in a fast-pace, high mix, low volume environment.
• Strategic planning for the supply chain organization including people development.
• Continuity planning and risk mitigation.
• Experience in capacity planning.
• Negotiating with suppliers re capacity planning, costs, etc
• Project management of multiple levels of projects, both technical and commercial
• Development of outsourcing capabilities for capacity flexibility, and extensive lead time reduction

• Development of plans and metrics for annual cost savings.
• Manufacturing experience with strong mechanical aptitude in an operation producing tight tolerance, precision, copy-exact parts.
• Experienced communicator with the ability to communicate critical thinking ideas and concepts.
• Experienced relationship builder capable of innovating and negotiating the full vendor capabilities/value.
• Strong communicator capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations.
• Understanding of technical documents (i.e. blue prints/drawings).
• Write effective reports on development of progress of projects.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Lam’s quality management system and properly apply quality procedures and operating procedures as appropriate.

• Preferred is a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other technical field
• Ideally 10-plus years’ experience in a supply chain role with progressive responsibility and a minimum spend of $10M.
• MBA preferred
• Proven ability to gain partnerships and excel on a cross-functional team with product, manufacturing, quality and reliability engineers as well as procurement, finance, and product support.  Experience in procurement and supplier management desirable.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers to include knowledge in the use of the Internet and software programs such as Microsoft Office products and ERP systems.
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. 
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. 

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
• Must be able to pay close attention to details.
• Must be able to perform successfully under minimum supervision.
• Must be able to attain sufficient task success to establish credibility with management, staff and employees
