The Group You’ll Be A Part Of

We are seeking a Technical Instructional Designer to help design and develop Lam’s Manufacturing Academy core curriculum to our manufacturing team. 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Design and produce a variety of instructional content and visual packaging including e-learning, audio, video and Instructor Led courses to drive manufacturing assimilation and development
  • Optimize learning technologies such as Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, PowerPoint and Vyond to create engaging experiences that inspire action in others 
  • Manage the full execution and delivery lifecycle of key learning experiences (program preparation, communication, logistical needs, etc.) 
  • Support the implementation courses in the LMS and for certification 
  • Work with SMEs at all levels to provide needs assessments and performance consulting 
  • Measure, monitor, analyze and report the business impact of training and learning programs 
  • Train the technical instructors and floor trainers on implementation 

Who We’re Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferred; a passion for learning design and inspiring others  
  • 2+ years’ experience designing and delivering impactful learning programs and products 
  • Experience with eLearning tools and software (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, PowerPoint and Vyond)  
  • Conceptual and intuitive understanding of instructional design and how adults learn 
  • Talent development content knowledge to write, build and package topics for soft and technical skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong editing and proofreading skills 

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred skills and knowledge: 

  • Experience with high volume, technical manufacturing 
  • Understanding of technical certifications 
  • Digital learning skills and strategy 
  • A blended learning approach 
  • Experience adapting quality and safety into learning 
  • A basic understanding of graphic design

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
