Job Responsibilities

Transportation Analyst will monitor and execute the movements of Lam Research owned materials and support the selection of contracted carrier resources. The responsibilities include sourcing, booking and tracking of the material movements and complying to the mandated Malaysia Customs rules. To be included in these duties, disseminating information for the timely delivery of materials for internal and external customers, and identifying potential issues that may disrupt work schedules and or deliveries.

In this role as Ground Transportation Logistics Analyst, you should have a strong working knowledge of transportation management solutions, experience and knowledge of carrier booking websites, and the ability to effectively manage expected delivery due dates that meet agreed service levels agreements. Freight Brokering and Campus Fleet experience is a bonus. You will be supporting several stake holders, from Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Warehouse operations.

Other Job Responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating and overseeing routing, scheduling and daily transportation of freight services
• Monitoring routes daily and making necessary adjustments for overloads and problem shipments
• Ensuring established routing guidelines are followed and adhered too
• Data Analyzing and drive optimal cost effectiveness on Freight solution services while maintaining Service Level expectation
• Responding to ad-hoc freight urgencies and manage life of shipment for Critical shipments
• Reporting of Asia Freight Activity (Key Performance Indicators)
• Training, and evaluating our Suppliers shipping patterns
• Participate in identifying opportunities and revises work processes and procedures to increase effectiveness.
• Use and leverage SAP (ERP) system insight to ensure order/ purchase order detail compliance
• Monitor Cross-border shipments and inbound country to country shipping into Malaysia.

Minimum Qualifications

• • 3 years’ experience in freight management or logistics related field.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong Excel skills preferred
  • Freight Forwarding & Customs brokerage experience preferred
  • Sound knowledge of transportation management software is a plus.
  • SAP Experience / ERP Systems
  • Proven experience meeting schedules and timelines for projects.
  • Be able to prepare accurate reports and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detailed and Team oriented.
  • Proactive and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
