Position Overview:

Provide on-site leadership, support and integration for Silfex regarding equipment and spares demand, product group and CSBG engineering projects, quality escalations/field returns and supply chain support.  Provide active partnership and support to the Supplier Material and Technology group. Work directly with Fremont and Silfex based materials planning group on parts forecast changes. Provide critical input to the Silfex leadership team to shape business and operational capability and direction. 

  

  • Works with key Lam stakeholders to understand and define short, medium and long term Lam equipment and spares order book and forecast requirements and works with Silfex team to translate that into meaningful forecasts used for business and operations planning
  • Supports all communication with key Lam stakeholders regarding Silfex product and process improvement projects to target cost reduction and/or new product features
  • Ensure early involvement by Silfex in highly technical and/or complex new product design using the Silfex’s expertise to optimize quality, manufacturability, and cost
  • Actively work with Product Engineering and CSBG groups to understand and anticipate RPM requirements. Help the Silfex RPM team clarify questions or issues.
  • Ensure early involvement by Silfex in highly technical and/or complex new product design using the Silfex’s expertise to optimize quality, producibility, and cost.
  • Provides on-site leadership for Silfex demand forecast, Supplier Action Team (SAT), Cross Functional Team (CFT), and Design Review (DR) meetings.  Works in advance of the meetings to socialize hot issues to provide input and advice to the Silfex team regarding hot issues and preparation.  Publishes and updates action items resulting from these meetings.
  • Supplier Materials and Technology responsibilities
    • Support the technical liaison between Fremont and Eaton for:
      • New products / process
      • Material qualification and POR change
    • Assess Silfex Design Review (DR) readiness
    • Own and execute escalation related processes and actions for Silfex products as defined in Supply Materials and Technology procedures and business processes.   Provide on-site leadership of root cause and corrective action activity required for Silfex related escalations and excursions.  Work with Lam and Silfex teams to drive these issues to completion
    • Provide support to Supplier Materials and Technology for PR closure and POR audits.
    • Partner with Silfex Director of Quality Advancement to provide Fremont leadership on GSQA projects
  • Partner with Silfex leadership team to manage analytical testing and engineering required to perform failure analysis on Silfex products returned from the field
  • Supports assigned Silfex product and process improvement projects to target cost reduction and/or new product features
  • Build and sustain an active network of key stakeholders in the product groups, CSBG, Pilot Manufacturing group, Supply Materials and Technology, Global Supply Management and other key groups to understand and define key needs in order to advise the Silfex leadership team.
  • Work with Silfex Supply Chain to conduct supplier visits to evaluate and manage new and existing supplier production readiness
  • Travel to Silfex to work onsite with across all functions to stay current with and provide input on business and operational capability, direction and status
  • Requires 10-20% travel.

     

    May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

      

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    BS in engineering, MBA desirable, excellent program management, presentation and technical skills.

    5 + years applicable experience.

    Familiarity with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards and organizations. Ability to read blueprints and GD&T

    Experience in machining highly desired. 

    Proven ability to gain partnerships and excel on a cross-functional team with sales, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality and reliability engineers as well as procurement, finance, and product support.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel

    Experience with ERP software and SAP highly desirable

    SharePoint proficiency

    Proven experience with formalized problem solving techniques

    Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment to drive success

    Must be able to pay close attention to details

    Must be able to perform successfully under minimum supervision
