The Impact You’ll Make

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to join our team in Fremont, CA. This leadership role involves planning, strategy, roadmap, and execution of DevOps initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead partner teams and excel in a matrixed environment, ensuring seamless integration and secure development practices.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement DevOps strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans.
• Lead the integration of SAST tools like SonarQube and Blackduck into CI-CD pipelines to enhance secure development and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in DevOps, including automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to partner teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of applications and infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in DevOps architecture and leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft and SAP technology stacks for application lifecycle management.
• Understanding of secure development practices and experience in integrating the SAST tools like SonarQube and Blackduck in CI-CD pipelines.
• Understanding of SaaS applications, Siemens Teamcenter PLM, and Opcenter MES application lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in CI-CD pipelines and automation tools, including Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead in a matrixed environment and manage partner teams effectively.
• Required Experience:
  • DevOps: 7-9 years
  • Application development and scripting: 5-7 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or security.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
• GitHub Advanced Security Certification
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Terraform Associate Certification
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
