Director, CEO Communications

 

We are seeking a highly engaging and seasoned executive to lead our CEO communications.  The Director of CEO Communications should have passion and excellence for raising the bar and taking communications performance to the next level.  

 

This highly-motivated professional will be responsible for building the belief among critical audiences – customers, employees, partners, suppliers and the investment community – that Lam’s contribution to the semiconductor industry unlocks positive impact on society’s ability to progress, innovate, and grow equitably. This senior leader will develop content that proves that Lam’s innovation, values, and capabilities drive technology breakthroughs and enable diverse talent to thrive.

  

The Director CEO Communications will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, have a deep understanding of executive-level communications, business priorities, and the technology industry. Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferable. This leader will be responsible for the CEO’s communication strategy and content building as well as their brand internally and externally.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proven ability to create and execute a communications strategy and plan that articulates the company vision and strategy while elevating the CEO voice.  
  • Define and manage tactics, channels, messages, and audiences for highest impact and efficient use of CEO time 
  • Create content that will engage, inspire, and inform the employee audience across a variety of channels, including All Employee Meetings, presentations, Lam’s intranet, blog, video and social media platforms. 
  • Demonstrated success in creating keynote presentations, speeches, and talking points for external events and customer engagements that have maximum impact 
  • Draft concise, well-informed briefing materials to prepare for internal and external engagements 
  • Partner closely with the media and investor relations teams as well as the global customer organization to ensure clear messaging across media, investor, and customer engagements 
  • Implement processes that drive long-term planning, high-quality content gathering, and rigorous execution across all aspects of CEO communications 
  • Engage across the communications team to incorporate the right mix of strategies and assets  
  • Global experience in working across regions and countries providing an understanding of cultural differences and imperatives for maximum communication effectiveness 
  • Passion for engaging in new and innovative communication channels and methods to drive breakthrough audience experiences 
  • Critical thinking and an ability to understand complex business issues to distill messaging for diverse audiences 

 

Job Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred 
  • Minimum 15 years of previous corporate executive communications experience within multi-national public companies
  • Minimum 2-3 years directly supporting the CEO for a top tier technology company with semiconductor exp highly desireable 
  • Experience working in highly complex technology industry; experience in the semiconductor industry experience is preferable 
  • Deep knowledge of internal communications strategies and channels specifically in working with C-Suite executives 
  • A creative, strategic thinker who challenges the status quo and fosters unique approaches to executive and employee communications.  
  • International business and communications experience 
  • Understand how to balance strategy and business acumen to best invest resources and maximize impact  
  • An empowered self-starter able to work without significant oversight and follow through to impactful execution 
  • Prowess handling multiple projects, prioritizing and acting with a sense of urgency 
  • Critical thinking and an ability to understand complex business issues to distill messaging for diverse audiences 
  • Passion for engaging in new and innovative communication channels to drive breakthrough audience experiences
  • Must be a US Resident 
  • Ability to travel up 40%
