In the Director Facilities role for the Fremont site operation, you will provide leadership for all Facilities operational activities, demonstrating broad expertise and knowledge in the areas of performance contract management, financial management, work order systems, construction management, strategic planning, building code compliance, energy strategies, and customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Accountable for the delivery of services and consumables with annual cost of approximately $100M, and the timely execution of approved capital programs
• Manage the internal stakeholder customer interface, and relationships with external stakeholders, i.e., city officials and suppliers 
• Plan and manage the Bay Area GWS annual operating plan, including headcount forecast, capital programs and operations expenses; provide periodic spending forecasts and performance to those forecasts

• Work with peer real estate group, facilities occupancy strategy teams, and business unit representatives to develop asset management strategies, including the acquisition and disposition of Bay Area space

• Manage team of Facilities professionals who plan, design, construct, and maintain lab facilities infrastructure (equipment, machinery, buildings, control systems, etc.); select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

• Ensure compliance with occupational safety and environmental standards, ISO performance, external customer audit action plans, and Lam internal business controls

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or related, MBA desired.
• Fifteen (15) years’ experience managing a semiconductor manufacturing Facilities organization to include:
  • Global Facilities operations, Semiconductor operations industry or Wafer Fab Equipment manufacturing lab environment.
• Ability to plan and forecast operating plans including headcount forecasts, capital programs and operations expenses.
• Experience delivering facilities and engineering services ranging in a lab and manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing contractor relationships for capital construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate complex and ambiguous problems.
• Skilled at preparing and presenting to peers and executive leadership.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
